God Bless the U.S.A.

To all the men and women in the military, now and in the past,
thank you for your service.

Fred S. Martin
Senator Martin's resolution for Parrish Family
Senator Martin floor sponsor H-291

Why I am serving in the State Senate - District 15

"There are minds to encourage, eyes to dry, hearts to heal, arms to embrace, knees to strenghten, and feet to steady."

TO SERVE

"Service to others is the rent you pay for room here on earth" - Shirley Chisholm

"Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity" - Buddha

VALUES

I am pro-family, pro-education, pro-life. I believe in the Republican Party’s values of lower taxes, less government and personal responsibilities. I will focus on education and jobs.

EDUCATION

About 62% of state general funds goes to education in Idaho. I have the educational background, having been a teacher, to see that those funds are properly spent.

ECONOMY

Because of the economy, many people in Idaho are hurting; many are out of work or underemployed. The state has several responsibilities:
1 - Keep taxes as low as possible
2 - Provide the best education for our children
3 - Adequately fund essential services
4 - Make Idaho a people-friendly and business-friendly place

BUSINESS BACKGROUND

Having been a businessman in Boise for over 25 years, I know what high taxes can do to hurt our economy. We need to keep and attract new business to Idaho.
